MARK et al, Pat suggested I get in touch with you regarding playing locally. I have work in Rochester and will be visiting some friends in Ithaca Sunday (tomorrow) on my way up from CT. I was hoping to play something locally, but can't quite tell what is available/temporary, etc. Sounds like TC3 is the place to be...or maybe not? Might try to get to Auburn on the way back on Thursday. And maybe Oxbow on Friday.

Any guidance/suggestions/quick tour would be most appreciated. I should have a couple hours or so.

Pat guided me to this discussion board. Surprised there isn't a link from Discithaca website.

hiya dog...within a few miles of downtown ithaca are 2 9 hole courses...one is in the directory(cornell campus 9 holes)...one is behind an elementary school and sunday play is best....it is also "only" 9 holes but many tee pads...where and when will u be in town?...i also have 17 baskets where i am living(caroline) ....only 17 baskets at tc3 and hard to follow as most of the local courses are...im rambling ...at work and bored...hit me back tonight and we will play tommorrow...mark mcgarity #10232

17 baskets are better than 16. I'm planning on having lunch in Ithaca, my friends live across the valley on Hook Place.

I'm coming up on Rt 79 from the NYC area, how's your home course? I could stop in the morning on the way through.

Or we could meet after lunch and play whatever. I pretty much like anything that is playable. I'd like to see where Ithaca is headed and what dg it has to offer? Is tc3 championship caliber, still rough?
